The Section wishes that, as is already the case in Dakar and Lima, former workers’ sections within local or regional ILO trade unions could be set up. This will facilitate the maintenance of relationships between local retirees; the lifelong contribution for local staff is 50,-USD. The website of the Section contains many regularly updated information allows retirees around the world to stay informed and connected. Former civil servants residing in the regions may also join a national union which includes all retirees of the various international organizations. These national unions are generally members of the FAFICS (Federation of International Civil Servants’ Associations).
