ILO STAFF MOBILIZE TO SAVE THEIR JOBS
Category : News
As the ILC 2025 draws to a close, a session of the Organization’s Governing Body will take place on Saturday June 14, which could have major consequences for the future of ILO staff. Throughout the Conference, staff mobilized to explain to the tripartite delegates that the men and women who work for the ILO on a daily basis are not a commodity, and that they do not necessarily have to bear the brunt of the current financial difficulties.
Leaflets were distributed and staff dressed in black showed their concern.
Exceptionally, the President of the ILO Staff Union, Séverine Deboos, will address the members of the Governing Body in order to make the staff’s voice heard, and in particular to demand that any decisions affecting them be taken within the framework of the ILO’s collective bargaining agreement.
